Change, Change, and more Change.

Adaptability especially in business is an essential skill to develop and refine. It’s a mindset, I no longer get frustrated when it’s time to change. I accept, watch,? and plan for my next regeneration. In the past few years, we’ve all had to adapt to the ravages of a worldwide epidemic. Looking forward, the changes I see coming ahead will use the lessons we learned over the past few years and they will serve us well.?

Enter AI, it’s being hailed as the driver of all this change, with its comparison to the printing press, the combustible engine, and more recently the mobile phone as yet another milestone in humanity’s development. I do want to make the distinction that, I feel, it’s not AI being the end-all-be-all, but the technology development that allows AI to exist. Back in the early 2000’s technology development allowed video to be created, uploaded, and shared. Now, in 2024 the consumption of online video has surpassed as the most effective form of communication.

So, what’s the point? A big change for online consumption, navigation, and usage is here and we as the general public will have to make some changes to keep up. For the past 3 years, Google has been leading up to a platform remodel. Well, not so much a remodel as a complete teardown and rebuild. Haven’t you noticed all the delays and broken connections? My Meta and Google reporting numbers have made little to no sense in the past 3 months. The new build is up and running and the old structure is scheduled for demolition next week. Hold on there, there will be dust kicked up, make sure your systems are kept clean. For BWCI I’ve been in desperate need of a new website and I held off till this summer so I can build it in the new system. Adding to the current online turmoil new operating systems and chip development will be going online to handle AI. So much so that I’ve been talking to my financial advisor about investing in AI tech.?

My suggestions:

1. Invest in SEO. Google has to re-crawl the internet. So many new and old connections will need to be made anew. I’m watching videos right now and will invest in an online tutorial/workshop when I find a good source.
2. Online is going to get wonky and it’s time to update your online systems—new website for me.?
3. The current software has changed dramatically so hardware will have to follow. I’m laying down the investment of a new computer this year. OUCH!

More than anything it’s about having an open and fluid mindset. Don’t let change bother you, it’s a fact of life, accept it, embrace it, and get good at getting it done. It’s like doing dishes, the cost of a good meal and a clean kitchen is a must for the next foodie adventure. The quicker you make the change the faster you can get out and play.
