“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” – Stephen Hawking
I really like this quote by Mr. Stephen Hawking. Not everything in our life will go the way we planned, that's why we should learn to adapt to unexpected situations. My journey in?Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka?was a timeless experience that showed me the way to interact, achieve, learn, work, and think. These 5 important things will greatly affect the way I adapt to something unexpected.
The Way of Interacting
Interacting with others is an essential part of our daily lives. Whether it's in personal relationships, social settings, or professional environments, effective interaction skills are crucial to building healthy and productive relationships.
Since Bangkit is an online-based program, I encountered hundreds of individuals with variety of backgrounds, unique ways of communication, and various traits. By trying to connect to lots of people in Bangkit, I learned lots about the power of effective communication and collaboration. I also learned lots about other people perspective in things that will improve my critical thinking and build emotional intelligence in me.
Adapting in the way of interacting is crucial, because in my opinion, good connections to other people is a key to success.
The Way of Achieving
Achieving our goals is an essential part of personal and professional growth. However, achieving our goals often requires adaptability and the ability to adjust our approach as we encounter new obstacles or opportunities.
In Bangkit, I learned tons of soft skills. One of them is time management, which is where I'm lacking the most in my life. The subject gives me a new way to set and define steps to reach my goals. For me, life is like a video game, with every choices we take in our life comes with great responsibilities, which we have to embrace all responsibilities from the action we take.
As I mentioned before, good connections will play a great deal in our way of achieving our goals. Work with the right person in a right job in a right situation will boost our chance of success toward our goals, especially in Bangkit is the capstone project goal.

The Way of Learning
Learning is an ongoing process that is essential to personal and professional growth. However, as circumstances change, our approach to learning must also adapt.
Bangkit provides a vast amount of resources for its cohorts to learn from. These resources are diverse, not only materials related to the hard skills but also materials related to soft skills. The first time I have my ILT session in Bangkit, I learned things about 'Growth Mindset' which tells hard work and dedication will overcome anything.
In my opinion, we should work smarter as we should be open to new ideas and ways of thinking. In the process we might face lots of challenges, embrace it. This way we will achieve what we seek efficiently, and stay engaged and motivated throughout the process.
The Way of Working
Working efficiently and effectively is essential for personal and professional success. As I mentioned before, working smart will help us reach our goal efficiently.
Through a tight schedule and numerous milestones, little by little Bangkit ignited a flame in me to adapt my work approach. My one and only wall that blocked my way through this is my lack of motivation to start being productive. In the ILT 'Time Management' session, I learned that implementing agile manifesto and scrum methodology in work life will improve this weakness of mine. That's why, I tried to implement these methodologies and little by little I can overcome my lack of motivation to start something, by setting up pseudo-deadlines in my calendars.
The Way of Thinking
Our thinking patterns can greatly impact our personal and professional success. By improving our adaptability in ways of thinking, we can enhance our problem-solving skills and become more resilient in the face of challenges.
One of the soft skill that I learned in Bangkit is 'Critical Thinking' and it changed my life forever, in good ways and bad ways. Critical thinking involves analyzing information, evaluating arguments, and making informed decisions. In the process, we need to rethink of every information and advices given to us. We can't be too hasty on making decisions and we should see the information from different perspectives. This might grow overthinking and anxiety towards the taken choices. For this, we will need to remind adaptability in the way of achieving. We need to embrace change and take responsibilities of what action we took. Embrace the challenge, don't be afraid of failure because what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
In conclusion, Bangkit has been an invaluable experience for me. These skills and mindsets are essential in real world, where adaptability and resilience are key to success. Pursue lifelong learning and challenge yourself. There's no end goal while we live, strive to shape ourselves into becoming the person we are meant to be until the end of our time.
