Adapt Biogas welcomes the Biomass Strategy team to Murrow AD.
Adapt Biogas Limited
Adapt Biogas run Anaerobic Digestion plants in Cambridgeshire & Somerset. Farm and food waste feedstocks welcome.
We were delighted to welcome a number of government officials in May to the ADCS Certified Murrow AD site.?
The officials in attendance from BEIS and DIT are involved in developing the Biomass Strategy and the site visit organised by?The Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA)?aimed to ensure officials fully understand the AD technology and its potential. Most participants of the visit had admittedly never been to an AD site before and found the day extremely beneficial.?
Our on-farm anaerobic digestion plant is located 18 miles from Peterborough and is the first AD site in the UK, which injects gas directly into the National Grid high-pressure transmission line.
The Biomass Strategy is a key policy development for our industry as AD is set to play a significant role. It is expected to be published later this year and is aimed at identifying the optimum sources of biomass and its best uses in the short, medium, and long term to meet net-zero.?
It was a great visit from the officials and we hope the challenges AD operators face were noted to support the industry sector and help inform the delivery of the Biomass Strategy.
Please go to www.adaptbiogas.com for further information on our plants.
