In October 2024, The Adani Group and 谷歌 declared strategic collaboration towards Developing and advancing sustainability efforts, as well as contributing to the growth of carbon-free energy in India. According to a recent report by Reuters, the unit of Adani Green Energy Ltd had signed a Power Consumption Agreement to supply energy to a commercial and industrial customer. The power consumption agreement (PCA) was formalized on 3 October.
As per the official press release, Adani Group would provide renewable energy generated from a new solar-wind hybrid project located at Khavda, Gujrat, home to the world’s largest renewable energy plant. The project is estimated to commence commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025. ?Moreover, the collaboration also guarantees that Google’s cloud services and operations are power-driven by renewable energy so that it can support the company’s sustainable growth in the region. This will also facilitate fulfilling Google’s ambitious goal of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy for its operations across the globe, which also covers one of the crucial objectives of this partnership.
Additionally, according to this agreement, Adani Renewable Energy Three Ltd will supply electricity from a newly established 61.4-megawatt renewable energy facility in Khavda, as stated in an exchange filing.
