Adam Parker Promoted to Sales Manager

We are delighted to announce, the promotion of Adam Parker to Sales Manager. Adam joined Edge back in 2015, as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant and very quickly, made his mark and progressed in his career with us. Following his promotion, we caught up with Adam to get his thoughts and listen to his plans.

"I am delighted to have been given this new opportunity as Sales Manager for both Edge Careers and Edge Freelance. I look forward to the challenge this presents and taking the business forward in my new role. The trust and support that Peter Canavan and Vanessa Skinner have shown me over the years has been brilliant and I intend to build on the hard work that’s gone in before me and push Edge forward to the next phase in our journey.

Having worked at Edge for nearly ten years now, I have always had a passion for providing a quality-driven service to both our clients and candidates. I am looking to expand and build on the fantastic culture within Edge and continue to offer and maintain our high-quality standards on a wider scale. We should be proud of what we have achieved here at Edge – working closely with all types and sizes of Construction companies - from sub ￡1 million turnover companies right up to dealing directly with the Boardrooms of Tier 1 Major Contractors. Our approach of supporting by adding value and caring about our clients and candidates is shown in many areas but I think a great example that shows how we are different from others is the fact that Vanessa having worked in the industry for 35 years identified the need to extend support to those in the industry that were experiencing high levels of stress due to the nature of the industry pressures Vanessa is now further training as a Mental Health Therapist and is a Student Member of the BACP. Vanessa will then be able to support the industry in this unique way within the recruitment arena. For those who have worked closely with Edge over the years, I am sure they will vouch for our approach.

We have an amazing team with so much experience across the board. Although we aren’t massive in numbers, we plan to selectively add to our existing team and attract more of the industry's top recruiters and also the people who are willing to embrace a career that rewards hard work and passion for the role, to join us in our goal to become the ‘agency of choice’ within the UK construction industry. We are keen to expand on what we already do within the world of construction, so there are brilliant opportunities for new employees to join us and establish new desks or grow existing ones. As a company, we are modernising what we do and always looking at ways to improve and make life easier for our staff, we are always maintaining the core fundamentals of good Consultants by talking to and meeting people to match their career needs and wishes.
