Ada Lovelace Day
Today is ‘Ada Lovelace Day’ - a global celebration of the achievements that women have made in industries in the science, technology, engineering and maths sector.
The day is about increasing the profile of females in these markets - with Teijin being leaders and real challengers when it comes to diversified leadership teams to enable a stronger future for those who previously would be underrepresented and overlooked.?
In short, women are at the forefront worldwide at Teijin! To celebrate Ada Lovelace Day, we are using our platform to leverage change in other organizations by putting the spotlight on some of our incredible women who help us drive sustainability, innovation and of course diversity.?
Jane Thomas, for example, is not only President of Teijin Holdings USA, but a board member of the Women in Manufacturing Association (US). Thomas - thanks to an incredible experience in the industry - plays a significant part in allowing Teijin to integrate itself into the US economy and contribute to growth in various fields. This includes increasing the manufacturing base, creating new jobs, and furtherly strengthening the US-Japan trade relationship.?
