Acumen: India shining for real: Steady FII inflows into realty

According to Collier's?‘India- High on Investors’ Agenda’ report, #india has received?cumulative foreign institutional inflows of $26.6 billion into real estate. This is a whopping three-fold rise from the preceding six years, from 2017 to 2022, a collective outcome of quick industry overhaul, strong economic and business fundamentals, and key policy reforms that have ensured transparency and ease of business.?

The office space garnered the highest #investments during the years 2017-2022, comprising close to 45% of the total foreign inflows of its global peers.??

• At the global level, experts believe, the Indian real estate market offers great pricing, better valuations, and higher yields
• At the APAC level, India has emerged as a preferred choice for investments given the higher yields of Indian cities at relatively lower pricing points
• Already, Bengaluru and Mumbai stand 2nd and 3rd in terms of commercial yield across the APAC region, with Bengaluru leading in office yields and Mumbai topping #industrial asset yields
