AI in Education: Are You Prepared to Leverage AI This Fall??

Our recent research brief, “Excitement and Concern: Faculty Perspectives on AI in Education,” revealed that many educators may not receive the support they need to integrate AI into their classrooms effectively.

  • 17% of faculty feel they have sufficient guidance from their institution on how to use AI in their teaching
  • 40% of faculty never use AI to support their course efforts
  • 35% of faculty feel comfortable using AI to support teaching
  • 16% of faculty have received training in implementing AI into their courses

ACUE and NASH Partner to Advance Student Success Nationwide

Earlier this month, ACUE and The National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH) announced the launch of the first nationwide initiative to advance student success through effective teaching. This collaboration will empower participating NASH partners to expand access to high-quality instruction by certifying more faculty in ACUE’s Effective Teaching Practice Framework. Partner Highlights

Cuyahoga Community College

A cohort of Cuyahoga Community College faculty were recently celebrated for completing the ACUE’s course in Effective Online Teaching Practices. Cuyahoga is part of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, which was recognized as a “Movement Maker” at the National Higher Education Teaching Conference.

HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College

In conjunction with the celebration of its new Teaching and Learning Center, HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College honored 13 faculty members who achieved certification in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework. Among them was Assistant Professor of Sociology, Sarah Jacobson , who shared on LinkedIn that she was eager to start the fall semester ‘with even more positive teaching practices in my arsenal.’

Oxnard College

Thirteen Oxnard College faculty proudly shared a photo with their newly earned Certificate in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework. This achievement was made possible through a grant from their local Congresswoman, Julia Brownley, aimed at enhancing teaching practices.

Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC) Student Success Leadership Institute

ACUE’s Marianne D. and Christine Cappello connected with Ohio educators on September 13 at Ohio Association of Community Colleges ' Student Success Leadership Institute. Since 2021, OACC has advanced teaching excellence at Ohio’s 23 community colleges and received the Movement Maker Award earlier this year for its commitment to faculty and student success.?

Southern Miss Sport Management

Through a comprehensive three-semester training program designed to support faculty with teaching practices and networking opportunities, Southern Miss Sport Management 's Dr. Ali Fridley and Dr. Sabrina Reed of were celebrated for earning their Certificate in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework!?

Texas A&M University—Commerce

Sixteen East Texas A&M University faculty join the more than 8,850 educators across the Texas A&M University System who have earned their Certificate in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework, benefiting over 600,000 students. This milestone highlights the system’s continued dedication to delivering quality education under the leadership of Dr. SHONDA GIBSON , senior associate vice chancellor and chief transformation officer.?

University of Southern Mississippi

During their “Fall First Week Celebration,” The University of Southern Mississippi recognized its latest cohort of faculty who earned their Certificate in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework. In a LinkedIn post, Associate Provost for Faculty Success, Kelly Ferris Lester, Ed.D. , shared that this brings the total number of certified faculty to 225, with an additional 39 having earned the Advanced Certificate.?
