ACUD’s Chairman & Managing Director Khaled Abbas Listed as one of the Middle East’s Top CEO’s by Forbes Magazine

After a year marked by committed endeavors and significant contributions to the real estate and construction sector in the Middle East and Egypt, Engineer Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), has secured the 89th position among Forbes (Middle East)'s list of the most successful CEOs of 2023.

Engineer Khaled Abbas assumed his present position at ACUD in September 2022. The company serves as both the proprietor and developer of the New Administrative Capital in Egypt, encompassing an expanse of 960 square kilometers.

The new city encompasses a government district, a cultural district, a banking district and various other neighborhoods. ACUD, with 275 employees, earned $800 million in 2022 and plans on going public on the Egyptian stock exchange in 2024.

Engineer Abbas has previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities. In addition, he is a member of the Tourism Development Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund, and the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors.
