Actually listen!

Proverbs 12:18 If one gives an answer before he hears,?it is his folly and shame.

Have you ever done this? A person is talking to you, but you are only half listening (or not at all) because you are thinking of what you are going to say? Heck, you may even cut them off because what you have to say is SO important. As men, we of course NEVER do this with our spouses?!? I have actually brought up THE EXACT same point my wife just made because I was so focused on what I was going to say. She kindly points out that she already said that... Communication requires listening. This is actually the most important part, and is why God designed us so perfectly with 2 ears and 1 mouth. Unfortunately for some, our 1 mouth is way bigger than our 2 ears. If we take time to listen, we show that what the person is saying has value, and we will actually have an opportunity to learn something. Take time to listen, process before you answer, and have a blessed day!
