Are you a salesperson or do you manage sales people?

What are you measuring?

Are you like most managers I have worked with over the years who concentrate on the results?

Measure activity, do not measure results.

If the activity is there the results will come. If the results do not come then the activity needs to be changed.

It is easy for sales people to become disheartened when results do not happen. This is when you must knuckle down and ensure your activity levels are high.

When times are good, this is when good leaders must ensure the sales team keep the activity levels high. Make hay while the sun shines as they say.

Think about this; Imagine the situations you might find yourself in if you contacted fifty people every day. Email, call, meet, write letters, thank people.
