Activity Based Learning: Making Word Formation Fun and Engaging
Recently, I conducted an activity-based classroom session on the topic of Word Formation, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The idea was to move beyond traditional teaching methods and create an interactive environment where students could actively explore the mechanics of language.
Through collaborative activities like prefix and suffix challenges, root word puzzles, and group based word building exercises, students were able to grasp concepts in a hands-on way. This approach not only deepened their understanding of word formation but also sparked their creativity and critical thinking.
The enthusiasm and participation of the students reaffirmed the power of experiential learning in making complex topics more relatable and enjoyable. As an educator, moments like these inspire me to continue innovation in the classroom and bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Hers's how my students from I AIML, participated actively with enthusiasm and excitement.
