About activated carbon cabin filters
Activated carbon cabin filters are a special type of filter group. The filtering material is composed of two layers of synthetic fibers, made of materials that retain solid particles, just like standard cabin filters.
The additional third layer between the two synthetic fiber materials is activated carbon particles. These particles filter harmful gases in the air. The specific surface area of 1 gram of activated carbon can reach 900m 2. Therefore, the amount of gas stopped may be too high. According to the content of activated carbon in the filter, 90% of harmful gases (such as ozone, hydrocarbons, sulfur, and nitrogen compounds) are eliminated during the operation of the filter.
