We’re halfway through the 2023 ANDHealth ACTIVATE program, and the journey of the 15 participants has been nothing short of remarkable!

From partnerships to successful funding rounds to valuable networking opportunities, the whole ACTIVATE Cohort has achieved significant milestones in just three months since starting, showcasing their dedication and potential.??

With three modules completed, the ACTIVATE Cohort has immersed themselves in a wealth of knowledge and insights. These carefully designed and curated modules have provided the participants with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the complex landscape of the digital health sector. From defining the problem to refining product development to understanding regulation, compliance and risk, the cohort has successfully tackled key aspects essential for growth.?

• Valuable networking opportunities:?

Beyond the modules, the ACTIVATE cohort has leveraged invaluable networking opportunities. Thanks to the collaborative sessions, industry connections, and the chance to engage in 1-on-1 office hours with industry experts, the program participants have ignited fresh perspectives, partnerships, and even friendships.??

• A day to remember at the Digital Health Festival:?

The cohort's active involvement in the Digital Health Festival in June further exemplified their commitment to learning and networking. Engaging with thought leaders, industry experts, and peers, the participants seized the opportunity to showcase their innovations, exchange ideas, and gain a deeper understanding of emerging trends in the digital health arena.?

• Shining bright at the Victorian StartUp Gala:?

In July, the ACTIVATE Cohort had a memorable night at the Victorian StartUp Gala, hosted by the program supporter, LaunchVic . With glitz and glamour, the participants stood as a testament to the thriving startup ecosystem in Victoria. The Gala provided a platform to highlight and celebrate their achievements and foster connections with fellow entrepreneurs, investors, and key stakeholders.

Adding to the excitement, we've got some fantastic news to share from three of our participants that we're absolutely stoked about:?

• Virtetic will be pitching in Singapore in September:?

Virtetic was selected as a finalist in the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition! This recognition highlights the important work Virtetic is doing to empower the prosthetics community through virtual reality. We are thrilled for them and wish them the best of luck in Singapore, connecting with brilliant minds worldwide and presenting Virtetic's plan and potential.??

• Optiscan Imaging Ltd 's fundraising success:?

The success of Optiscan Imaging in raising a total of $16.7 million in funds through their Entitlement Issue resonated as a resounding triumph within the cohort. Optiscan Imaging develops, manufactures and commercialises endomicroscopic digital imaging technology solutions for medical, translational and pre-clinical applications. We can’t wait to see where this funding takes them next!??

• Humanetix is getting ready for significant regulatory changes in Aged Care reforms:?

Humanetix CEO Arthur Shih wrote an article for the Australian Ageing Agenda on the significant regulatory changes coming over the next 36 months.?Arthur outlined how providers must adapt swiftly to ensure compliance and the delivery of high-quality care and how Humanetix ACE, an intelligent care delivery platform, is designed to empower aged care providers to navigate these changes seamlessly. Great work, team Humanetix!?
