Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Bad news seems to be in abundance nowadays, with household names going bankrupt to the upsurge in many parts of the world in Covid-19 cases. Whether in the work environment or at a personal level, you may need to be messenger of bad news. It’s not fun and it's not easy. It is always tempting to try to procrastinate and hope that the problem will go away. Or perhaps you are considering to try to dilute the message down to a softer level.
Whatever it may be, be authentic. The truth can be hard and it can be painful, but no more than being told half-truths today, only to find out the full picture in the future. Trying to hide the bad news is actually disrespectful to the individual whom you need to engage. Being inauthentic today would be forever etched against your personal brand in the future and undermine the good work and intentions that you do elsewhere. So do make sure that you say, what you will do.
Actions speak louder than words.
