Actions have Consequences
Any driver has noticed the increase in CMV accidents, why? Can only be one thing, distractions. Electronic devices ease our major enemy, boredom. However using these while driving have consequences. Check this out:
”Texting - Means manually entering text into, or reading text from, an electronic device. Texting includes ( but is not limited to ), short message Services, e-mailing, instant messaging, a command or request to access a Web page, pressing more than a single button to initiate or terminate a call using a mobile telephone, or engaging in any other form of electronic text retrieval or entry, for present or future communication.”
Consequences: “Fines and Penalties - Texting while driving can result in Driver disqualification. Penalties can be up to $2,750 for Drivers and up to $11,000 for employers who allow or require Drivers to use a hand-held communications device for Texting while driving.”
However none of that is relevant if you forget the reason for these laws. Violate them and as a Driver, you maybe responsible for another’s life.
Please be careful and have a blessed day!
