Action Turns into Inaction

For too many of us, the desire to charge turns quickly into the desire to stay silent.
Casting aside the firm belief that one can do it all by themselves for years in a row, before realising that they’re stuck in a rut, not leaving the sandbanks of comfort and ‘knowledge’.
Perhaps the reason I love a decent CRM system.
It allows me to set reminders that this first outreach for a healthy helping hand is a foot in the door. Just like any other good salesperson, I sink my teeth in contact once they are the instigators of having that accountability partner.
And again, the rise of obesity and health-related challenges are largely ignored by men. Yes, the male population takes up the majority of being stubborn to a level that it almost becomes a new trend.
“I will definitely stay in touch” is too often raised as I check out their profile on social media, getting a bit of an idea of where they are. Taking on their lifestyle head-on is where the secret of health lies. It gives me that advantage when that free consultation chat arrives. Research your market well to understand what they’re going through.
I offer a solution for what men still think is taking their beer away, making them sweat like there’s no tomorrow, making them turn into bed before football is on, and chatting about this feminine stuff which we all see floating around on the internet.
And none of this could be further from the truth.
During a networking event at an established hotel in Bangkok, the rise of men was visible.
The rise of the belly.
People I haven’t seen for some time showed off their collection of stored energy in huge volumes, ready to refill it with free beer, wine and a plethora of snacks. Action to grab hold of what ones believe is free, yet inactively adding more fuel to their visceral and subcutaneous fat stores.
While these very amicable contacts have all the ingredients to deliver an evening of fun, games and lots of banter, a few ignore the fact that they are still on my watchlist based on promises they made to “definitely stay in touch”.
As if a cloud of shame covers their earlier promises to do something about their health. The butch manner of taking on their overweight / obesity issues is a little inconvenience; they firmly are aware they have found the magic potion of how to handle what’s bothering them.
And for years, still falling back to that same old routine.
Inaction.
You can say what you want, but their action to take inaction is an example of action perfectly executed.
There’s no denying that what hinders them from walking up a flight of stairs without a huff and a puff is merely the physical aspect of health. The tip of the iceberg,
Don’t forget that one’s mental health gets an even larger beating.
