Action proves why words don't mean anything

As a regular writer I believe that pen is mightier than sword, or now keyboard is stronger than sword to be precise because we hardly write by pen except for signing of cheques. The other side of this coin is that the pen is mightier than the sword. This does not make the above less true, because the speeches or writing of leaders may have been what gave men the courage in their hearts to fight the war, but that sword was still swung, and the war was won from that action.
And remember poetry can always inspire the soul, history writing can educate us on the mistakes of the past, books can help shape a strong and knowledgeable mind - But without action, any form of action, all of these words are meaningless. A good rule to earn the respect of others, and of yourself In the process, is to follow this simple code: Do what you say and say what you mean!
When we say without action, words are meaningless, but action can have great meaning without a single word ever uttered. Think about it. You say you love your kids, but without showing it with actions, your words are empty and actually hurt more than if you had not spoken them at all. You say you will quit smoking, or train to run a marathon. If you do not follow trough on it, your words meant less than nothing. They made you feel good as you said them, but all they did for you in the long run was to make you a liar.
Even show your kids you love them, then tell them too to make them feel it even more. Quit smoking, then tell your family so they can be happy with you. Run that marathon, then brag about it to your friends or post about it on Instagram. Bragging about things you did doesn’t exactly make you a Buddhist master of zen, but bragging about things you may or may not do, ever, just makes you a douchebag.
Words are not meaningless on their own since it makes up a great bit of our reality and shapes our lives. Words and "actions" both have meanings; to the one talking or "doing" and to those listening or observing. Words don't differ from action because one is constant and one is not, both can be constant both can be variable; My father constantly wishes me good morning, in high school he constantly took me to school. Sometimes he didn't take me to school and sometimes he didn't say good morning.
And the term actions speak louder than words is a well known cultural phrase/platitude which gives higher importance to action over "talk", especially "talk of action". Talk, to all intents and purposes, is a type "action", but not in this cultural context as action is described as "doing" usually something physical and talk as positioned as "speaking of doing" which isn't "doing" in this case.
Finally, our cultural value to prefer "actions" instead of "words", when someone "speaks of action" there is the anticipation and assumption that action should follow and reflect what was in the words we uttered. When it does not, it proves the phrase that "actions" speak louder than words or talk of action. As I've displayed above, outside of this cultural phrase, the reality is that words are actions, impactful ones, and at times they "speak" so impactfully louder than "actions", which sheds light on our cultural values and how we categorise such things. Cheers!
