Action Greensboro Announces Results of Talent & Workplace Survey

The first-of-its-kind survey gathered data?on Guilford County’s post-COVID economy.

Greensboro, N.C. – Action Greensboro, a nonprofit that champions enhancing the city’s quality of life and economic and civic engagement, today announces the results of its inaugural Talent & Workplace Survey. The comprehensive survey gathered responses from more than 600 Guilford County organizations on factors including talent and recruitment.

In addition to other key findings, the Talent & Workplace Survey Report features insights on Guilford County’s talent, workplace and outlook. The report finds that responding organizations reported an average of 58% growth over the past 12 months. Career growth and upward mobility top the list of desired features for Guilford County job seekers. Respondents identified the most essential skills for today’s new hires include work ethic, teamwork and verbal communication.?

“We are thrilled by the responses to our first Talent & Workplace Survey,” said Cecelia Thompson, Executive Director of Action Greensboro and a lead writer of the survey. “The findings from this survey are critical to Action Greensboro’s work and will be used to benchmark and improve community efforts for years to come.”

Participating respondents represented both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. The survey was taken by more than 600 Guilford County organizations, including those in the healthcare, financial services/insurance and automotive industries.
