Today various newspapers collectively convey the urgent message that Earth's vital environmental systems are in severe jeopardy because of human activities, with planetary boundaries being breached, requiring immediate and concerted global action to safeguard our planet's future.
This message is based on a major study just published in the journal Science Advances, with contributions from 29 international research capacities, including the Swedish-born head of the major German Potsdam Climate Research Centre, Johan Rockstr?m, and the recently deceased American-Australian chemist and climate scientist Will Steffen.
