Extending LoRaWAN Coverage with Abeeway Relays
Actility enhances its Abeeway Compact Tracker by integrating LoRaWAN relay functionality, enabling geolocation and extending LoRaWAN coverage for devices beyond gateway range. This upgrade, combined with ThingPark as the network server, or any other network server, bolsters IoT connectivity in challenging environments, with the tracker and other partner devices serving as relays.
Abeeway tracking app is a mobile app that runs on smartphones which can interact with Abeeway trackers. It can be used to track pets, keys, objects, etc. It is a native mobile app for iOS and Android, and it interacts with the tracker over Bluetooth.?

The pinnacle of the event was the unveiling of Nimbus, the next-generation gas meter, by Pier Lorenzo Dell'Orco, CEO of Italgas RETI. Nimbus introduces groundbreaking features as an H2-ready and tamper-proof meter, equipped with seismic and temperature sensors to automatically halt gas flow in the event of an earthquake or fire. Connectivity is provided through LoRaWAN and NB-IoT. Additionally, the meter utilizes DLMS over LoRaWAN with the support of IP/SCHC transport. Notably, the development of SCHC, a compression technology, was spearheaded by Acklio, which became part of Actility in July 2023.?
