“Running a bursary programme is administratively complex, coupled with the challenges of finding students of specific “previously disadvantaged” demographics, it became very important that umAfrika find a specialist partner to assist it with its bursary programme. Before 2021, we were limited to sponsoring just our employees’ studies and we needed to expand our programme to include external students from other parts of the country.
