The Act of doing good

???? ?? ????? ??? ??? is a very old saying. I used to wonder why the collective wisdom of mankind wanted us all to be detached and discreet about doing good.?

After setting up and running Lahe Lahe for 9 years I know why.

Back in 2013 this idea hit my heart that there is no ????? in an urban space, very transactional with almost no deep connection with anyone. Suddenly I realized that if we follow our heart song, we are happier and that inherently makes us more tolerant and real.?

I was terrified with this pursuit of perfection in our lives and wanted a place where people celebrate mediocrity, are not judged and can follow their heart like our ??????? ?????. After all we are 90% of the time failing and mediocre in our lives.

A beautiful concept converted into reality finally on April fool’s day 2016 and Lahe Lahe was born.

The idea instantly took off. I continued to experiment and did multiple iterations. People were relieved to be in a place which was real and gave them a sense of belonging.

In this journey we came together with multiple people who were passing through this ??????? , created something magical in our lives and then moved on.

Then the thing which happens to all of us when we are flying high happened, God syndrome :-) . I kept creating new ideas and concepts and they kept failing and succeeding.? Doing good became a way of life, and it created a huge deficit in my personal life. And then this realization.

To help someone one must put time, effort and money. Your time , money and effort.

This effort and do good was driven by the belief that when we do good , the same people do good back to us.

Another realization they don’t :-) .

But yes, it goes to the ????? and that is what is yours.

Suddenly facing challenges after challenges I got help from strangers, masters who come and stood by me and literally carried me.

Lahe Lahe would have impacted around 5 Lac people in its existence and contributed to making us urban folks know that maybe living is not that difficult.

The cost of running this entity has been around 7 Crores in terms of money and 5 years of my life plus my Marriage.

The city finally took it.

Now creating a new me from the ???? ?????? and hoping to stay detached. This is my journey from the act of doing good to staying good .
