ACS workshop helped students enhance their skills
Apex Career Services organized 3-day ‘Career Development Workshop’ to MBA 5th trimester students from July 17 -19, 2017 at seminar hall of the college. The program is organized for every batch of graduate and undergraduate students to enhance soft skills of students and bridge gap between College to Career. Twenty five students participated in the program which was facilitated by Job Dynamics Pvt Ltd.
On the opening day Head of Apex Career Services Mr Kul Prasad Prasai briefed about the overview of the first phase of workshop. Mr Prayas Rajopadhaya Senior Management Consultant of Job Dynamics conducted a workshop on Personal Branding Canvas. The students involved in analyzing their self, skills set, career aspirations and reasons for credibility. Similarly, Mr Rajopadhaya shared ideas on writing effective cover letters. He shared, ‘Try to connect your abilities to mission, vision and values of organization’. Mr Rajiv Sharma Managing Director of Job Dynamics facilitated the students to prepare their Resume.
On the second day, the students prepared and presented video Resume. The session was facilitated by Mr Abhinav Sharma. Afterwards, the students faced a simulated personal interview. The mentors gave feedback upon the performance of the students. In the social media branding session the instructors said, ‘Try to build consistency, authenticity and credibility to enhance your social media profile’.
On the final day, Mr Abhishekh faMaskey shared ideas on making powerful visual presentation. The workshop also discussion on corporate culture and business etiquette. Mr Arvind Subedi shared, ‘Observe the scenario and practices to understand corporate culture’. Ms Samyukta Rupakheti put forwarded the best practices, manners and antiques in corporate setting. The students shared their learning and feedback on the closing session.
The program assisted students perusing their internship to enhance skills, escalate their self and understand corporate culture.
