Across America, Veterans are still Serving their Communities.

Veterans call to serve doesn’t end when their military service does. This is why the VFW launched #StillServing — a campaign to bring more attention to the ways America’s veterans continue to help and serve their communities after leaving active duty.

As more veterans share how they are #StillServing, others have been inspired to serve more in their communities. Since 2020, #StillServing has helped volunteers with efforts and recognizing returned defenders. Today, the stage is set for the #StillServing campaign to get even bigger.

For Example, Aryanna from Pittsburgh enlisted in the Army just two months after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. She was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and deployed in February of 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Aryanna is still serving by being the Director in the Office of Veterans Services at the University of Pittsburgh where she supports student veterans as they transition from military service to academia. She also supports their connection to the Pittsburgh veterans community and gets them to supportive services at the VA and other community partners.

This is just one of many stories of how veterans at the VFW still serve. If you want to read more about how veteran's still serve go to https://todaysvfw.org/our-stories/?state=pa
