■ The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has approved Michel den Engelsen's acquisition of De Waal Autogroep and the sale of Autolease Midden Nederland's lease portfolio to Volkswagen Pon Financial Services, as announced by the ACM.

■ The final acquisition is scheduled for January 3, 2025. De Waal Autogroep will continue to operate under its current name, ensuring the preservation of its employees and management team. Autolease Midden Nederland (ALMN) will also retain its leasing activities under the same name and with the same staff.

"This approval marks a significant step for both parties in achieving their growth strategies and future ambitions," stated De Waal.

■ De Waal Autogroep is a family-owned business that represents the brands Volkswagen, Audi, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and ?KODA across 11 locations in the river area. In addition to selling and servicing vehicles, the group operates a universal leasing company called Autolease Midden Nederland, an auto body shop named Autoschadecentrum Rivierenland, and a Shell station in Druten.
