Acquisition of Batho Pele Healthcare & Announcement of new Managing Director

The AfriSky Consortium made up of AfriSky Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Sky Energy and Technologies (SET) has acquired a 100% stake in Batho Pele Healthcare (Pty) Ltd.

Batho Pele Healthcare was founded in 2017 by Ruwaida Shaikh, a registered pharmacist, with strong experience and a track record both in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry combined with market access and government affairs experience at a national and international level. The company has been advancing the public health agenda of both private and public entities with the aim of improving South Africa’s health systems through the delivery of better health outcomes, efficiency and improved quality of care for all.

As a leader in hospital equipment procurement, commissioning and maintenance AfriSky Holdings, and its sister company Sky Energy, an established hospital operator and hospital development company, will use their combined expertise to further the objectives of Batho Pele Healthcare. Marlon Burgess, the current Director and CEO of AfriSky Consortium has been appointed as Managing Director of Batho Pele Healthcare (Pty) ltd, effective immediately.
