WELCOME TO “ACQUIRING MINDS” – WHERE BUSINESS DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT!

Good morning, trailblazing entrepreneurs!

“Acquiring Minds” – Imagine turning a business not just into what it currently is, but into what it could be!?

Too often, achievement, accomplishment, ambition is defined as greed. Here’s my clarification: greed is attempting to get something for nothing, to take without exchange.

Still Slaying the Dragon, How to Deal with Over-dependence on a Single Client or Customer as a Small Business Owner

IAs a small business owner, you know that it's important to have a diversified customer base. But what if you're already too dependent on a single client or customer?

There are a few things you can do to deal with this situation.

First, it's important to understand why you're overdependent on this client or customer. Is it because they're the only ones who buy your product or service? Or is it because they're the only ones who pay well?

Once you understand the reason, you can start to develop a plan to reduce your dependence.

One way to do this is to find new customers. This can be done through marketing, networking, or even cold calling.

Another way to reduce your dependence is to diversify your product or service offerings. If you only offer one thing, you're putting all your eggs in one basket. But if you offer multiple things, you're less likely to be affected if one client or customer goes away.

Finally, you can also try to renegotiate your terms with your current client or customer. If they're the only ones who buy your product or service, they may be willing to give you a better price or terms.

By taking these steps, you can reduce your dependence on a single client or customer and protect your business from risk.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Be proactive. Don't wait until you're in a crisis to start looking for new customers. Start building relationships with potential customers now.
  • Be persistent. It takes time to build a new customer base. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results overnight.
  • Be willing to adapt. The market is constantly changing. Be willing to adapt your products or services to meet the needs of your customers.
  • Be patient. Building a successful business takes time and effort. Don't expect to get rich overnight.

If you're willing to put in the work, you can overcome the challenges of overdependence on a single client or customer.

  • and you'll eventually reach your goals.

The Dan Sullivan Question

by Dan Sullivan

The One Question That Can Change Your Future

If you've ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or even just a little off-track, then there's a question out there that just might change everything. It's been called The Dan Sullivan Question", and trust me, it's got way more power than it looks like at first glance.

You see, Dan Sullivan is this legendary entrepreneur coach – the guy high achievers go to for the breakthroughs they can't seem to pull off on their own. His claim to fame is that he can shift someone's entire trajectory with a single, well-placed question.

What's the Big Deal?

Here's the question:

“If we were having this discussion three years from today, and you were looking back over those three years, what has to have happened in your life, both personally and professionally, for you to feel happy with your progress?"

Seems basic, right? But that's where the magic is. It forces you way past the day-to-day mess and into the heart of what you really want. Not what your parents want, not those "shoulds" buzzing around your head, but the stuff that makes you feel lit up from the inside.

Why This Question Works

This question cuts through the clutter for a few reasons:

  • Future-Focus: It gets you out of the weeds and into your ideal life three years down the road. The timeline is important. It's long enough for big change, but short enough to feel urgent.
  • Happiness Factor: This isn't about goals, it's about what makes you feel successful on your own terms. That's where true motivation lives.
  • Personal AND Professional: Too often, we separate those parts of ourselves. Dan Sullivan knows that they're connected for a fulfilling life.

Should You Read the Book?

If you've got that itch that something needs to shift, then heck yes! The Dan Sullivan Question"? isn't a big or difficult read. It's more like a guided conversation that helps you unpack your own answers, see where you're self-sabotaging, and get super clear on what you're working towards.

Sullivan breaks it all down with stories, examples, and exercises to get those wheels turning in your head.

The Power of a Question

Honestly, even if you don't grab the book, try pondering that question for yourself this week. Let it simmer. You might be surprised by what bubbles up. If you're ready to dive deeper and commit to crafting the future you actually crave, "The Dan Sullivan Question" is your kick in the pants to get moving.
