Acquiring 20/20 vision
Our wish for the people of planet and mother earth this year of 2020.
May this be the year when more thinking people acquire 20/20 vision - where we see the world as complex, dynamic and interrelated - where we realise that simplistic solutions are just that - facile - and that in addressing our core issues what is required is open-mindedness, compassion (at least tolerance), and an attitude of collaboration. As we enter into an era of severe disruption may our better qualities be elicited in dealing with the effects so that together we might grow further in our individual and shared human potential. May we, despite large-scale despair at our political, social, economic and ecological challenges, come to a deeper appreciation of the significant benefits we enjoy of progressive civilisation, and freedom of expression and association, of the regenerative capacities of nature, the essential goodness in the hearts of humankind, and awe at existence.
Shakespeare's Hamlet laments:
"Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?"
The poet, Walt Whitman, answers with this profound view:
"Oh me! Oh life! of the questions of these recurring,
Of the endless trains of the faithless, of cities fill’d with the foolish,
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light, of the objects mean, of the struggle ever renew’d,
Of the poor results of all, of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me,
Of the empty and useless years of the rest, with the rest me intertwined,
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer.
That you are here—that life exists and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse."
May we this year look forward to further 'Evolutionary Transformations' as we strengthen our will, redefine our values, and clarify our personal and shared vision of possibility to advance the cause of life's regeneration and our opportunity of co-creation. WWW.EVOLUTIONARYTRANSFORMATIONSGROUP.COM

5 年I think, I think I am, therefore I am, I think. [Establishment:] Of course you are my bright little star, I've miles And miles Of files Pretty files of your forefather's fruit And now to suit our Great computer, You're magnetic ink. I'm more than that, I know I am, at least, I think I must be. [Inner Man:] There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles And piles Of trials With smiles. It riles them to believe That you perceive The web they weave And keep on thinking free.
