Acorns Know They WILL be Trees

An acorn knows it's going to be a tree. Such amazing natural belief. We're like acorns and sometimes our belief system wanes. Recently it happened to me.

When faith isn't where it needs to be it's time for me to stop and figure out answers to questions I need to ask myself. Make sense?

I was feeling challenged and it turned into frustration. I stopped.

Immediately I realized it was time to ask myself a question.

Where am I stuck and why?

My realization was this:

1. My focus was off a bit; and

2. I was seriously out of balance.

There's no such thing as balance in life. We do the best we can and it's up to us to even it out when we find outselves 'tipping' to one end too long.

Unlike the acorn, we forget to believe in ourselves.

What seeps into our minds then is doubt, fear and all the other nasties of that ilk. The closer we get to our goals the more that dark force gets in our way.

We are meant to be like the acorn; aware and faithful of our growth. Nurture that growth, have faith - stop and ask questions when life challenges you.

Here's what I did to get back on track.

1. Rested as much as possible;

2. Drank tons of water; 

3. Talked to the one person I knew would understand and help me, not enable me, to re-focus my perspective;

4. Implemented all the skills I've learned over the years in personal development;

5. Listened to my team members with their amazing support; and

6. Put my belief back in charge. FAITH. I am the acorn and the tree is inevitable.

We all have these moments whether in our business or personal life. The key is to give ourselves less and less time to sit in those moments. Being prepared also helps us get out of our own way so we can grow. Whether you are growing health, happiness, wealth or __________, fill in the blank. The foundation is the same.

Self-care, knowing who to talk to, nourishing our mind body and spirit and resting.

You're a POWERFUL ACORN. We are the trees of our world and we have a job to do. GROW. Not just for us but for everyone.
