Investing in the success of our clients and creating an environment where our people thrive
Our Energy team's Senior Project Engineer, Junelle Llorente, and Undergraduate Engineer, Jack Ettingshausen, recently participated in the Australian Renewable Fuels Week held in Canberra. The conference served as an excellent platform to discuss the importance of Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Liquid Fuels in industries' decarbonisation, including Aviation, Marine, Construction, Agriculture, Heavy Road Transport, Rail, and Mining.
Some key takeaways were identified from the conference and are worth discussing. One of the most apparent outcomes was the need to make progress in renewable diesel to tackle the challenge of decarbonisation faced by heavy industry and hard-to-abate sectors. Another essential topic that emerged was the significance of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It was noted that this is a growing industry where Australia can take the lead by learning from past opportunities lost in the renewable diesel and hydrogen sectors. The conference's message was loud and clear: the industry is ready, and capital is available; what's needed now is a compelling value proposition and a framework that minimises risks. The journey ahead starts with renewable diesel, moves on to SAF, and ultimately leads to hydrogen solutions. This conference was a call to action for industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to unite and take action.
This event aligns with our commitment to supporting sustainable aviation fuel and renewable liquid fuels. ACOR possesses extensive petrochemical and aviation fuel services relevant to these renewable drop-in fuels. We have expertise in fuel quality and aviation fuel systems, and our team has experience working with biofuels, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel. ACOR can provide consultation on fuel transitions, quality, testing, storage, and handling.
We also take pride in being a part of BioEnergy Australia to aid in this sustainability initiative.
