It has been another busy month at Australian Commercial Labour. We hope you enjoy reading our monthly highlights!

We became a LifeBlood Team!

This month, in honour of National Blood Donor Week, some of the ACL and Melwood team donated blood at the Australian Red Cross LifeBlood pop up in Moorabbin. This was the first time donating for many of the team, and we are so proud of everyone for stepping up to help save lives.

The staff at the lifeblood pop up were incredibly welcoming and made the entire process smooth and comfortable. We will definitely be doing this again!

New Starter - Kevin

This month we welcomed Kevin, our new Recruitment Consultant, to the team. Kevin is 26 years old and has vast experience in the construction recruitment industry, making him an invaluable asset to the ACL team.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys hurling and drinking Guinness, staying true to his Irish roots. Kevin’s engaging personality and deep industry knowledge, brings a unique blend of professionalism and fun to the ACL team. Attending the Cobild Tradesperson Event

On 6th June, Tom and Abbie attended the Cobild Tradesperson Event, representing MD Group. It was an enjoyable evening and a wonderful opportunity to network with impressive subcontractors and engage with potential and existing clients.

New TKD Tools for our Carpenters

This month we invested in a range of tools from TKD to enhance our Carpentry Team's performance. This delivery of top-quality tools will assist our carpentry team in delivering the highest quality service to our clients. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in this investment, ensuring that every project we undertake not only meets but exceeds client expectations

Football & AFL Games with Clients and Suppliers in Perth & Melbourne

We have been embracing soccer and footy season at ACL! At the start of the month General Manager Aidan and Director Neil took a trip to Perth to visit clients and took them to the AC Milan vs AS Roma soccer game. The game was won by AS Roma, and it was an enjoyable evening for us to bond with our loyal client.

Then, on 22nd June, TKD kindly took us to the Melbourne vs North Melbourne AFL game at the MCG. We had a great evening, and it was a great bonding activity with TKD who we have been working with since the start.

Men's Health Month

June is Men's Health Month, which is important to us with our high percentage of male staff, in the office and on site. We are committed to promoting a culture of health and wellness year-round, ensuring that our staff can thrive both personally and professionally. Men's health month is important as it raises awareness about the specific health issues that affect men disproportionately, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health conditions. These topics can often be overlooked or stigmatised, so dedicating a month to discussing them openly encourages men to seek help and support.

Mike from our office has been doing The Push-Up Challenge this month to raise awareness for mental health. He did his final press ups in the office on the final day of the month, which we thought was a great and inspiring way to end men's health month. Well done, Mike!
