What are the differences between HTML5 and JavaScript form validation?
When building web forms, you have two primary methods for validation: HTML5 and JavaScript. HTML5 validation is a browser-based mechanism that allows you to perform basic validation without writing any JavaScript code. It's built directly into the web platform and offers native ways to validate common input types like emails, URLs, and numbers. You can use attributes such as required , pattern , and min / max to specify the rules for validation. HTML5 validation is generally faster and more accessible as it doesn't rely on external scripts, and it works even if JavaScript is disabled in the browser.
