Throughout 2015, the AAMC Reporter published an article series chronicling efforts by the nation's medical schools and teaching hospitals to narrow health inequities and address social factors that impact community health. The articles are now available as a compilation and include a set of commentaries by Darrell G. Kirch, MD, AAMC President and CEO, and one by Leana S. Wen, MD, MSc, Baltimore City Health Commissioner and Katherine E. Warren, Special Assistant to the Baltimore City Health Commissioner, which further explore this important issue.
