20 Traits of the Great-Trait 1 Emotionally Invested
· Emotionally Invested (words people use to describe them)-Passionate about success, love what they do, great attitude, are self motivated, inspire people to act, celebrate the success of others, choose to be happy, enjoy life, excited about winning, cheerleaders, laugh at themselves, find joy in the achievements of their team, fight for what they believe, brighten up a room, encourage others, optimistic, upbeat, confident
We all know those people who love their job and it shows. They are passionate about what they do and how they do it. The GREAT understand that emotions drive them to act. They justify their actions with logic. Managing their emotions and not letting emotions manage them is a key skill they’ve developed. I never had a talk with anyone about their attitude that had any lasting good result—most times it just made things worse. You choose how you feel about any activity you participate in. If you’re the leader of a team one of your most important jobs is to choose players that bring the attitude you want to the task (and get rid of those that don’t quickly). A good technique to use when recruiting team members is to ask them how their best friend might describe them—see if they use any of the words above. The GREAT will raise the emotional investment of the GOOD around them. The GONE will destroy the passion and excitement of the GOOD they come in contact with. Don’t give them the chance.
