Organizations not born into the digital era, are chasing after digital maturity. This process (of chasing after digital maturity) is known as “Digital Transformation”, and once an organization gets to this end, they are considered “Digitally Mature”.
To achieve Digital Maturity, We should first know "What is Digital Maturity?"
Digital Maturity: Digital maturity is about integrating organization’s operations and human capital in digital processes and vise versa. While most organizations are well on their way to being digitally mature, no one has quite reached that point yet. Digital transformation requires undergoing a complete revolution to see and embed technology in the core of the organization.
Now, Let's see how an organization can become Digitally Mature and what are the indicators for the same.
- Putting Technology in the center of Operations: To have technology-centered operations means the organization is actually changing processes, not just using technology to do the same thing that was done before.
- Next generation UX: User Experience (UX) is the process of designing a tool, such as a website's or application's user interface, from the perspective of how it will be understood and used by a human user. In order to promote digital fluency, software should be intuitive and easy for users to navigate and use.
- Data Driven: It’s true that organizations were using data to make decisions even before we started hearing the term “digital transformation”. However, the methods used to collect data has made (and will continue to make) significant leaps in value. These leaps allow an organization to make data-driven decisions.
Do you agree? Any thoughts?
