One of the greatest changes instigated at Moonpig over the last few years is the ability to continuously deploy changes to our codebase. This has allowed us to adopt lean practices - working iteratively and using a test and learn approach to deliver solutions to our customers.

When I first joined Moonpig in 2014, releasing was a fraught process. It was painful for everyone involved, and very frustrating for a business trying to grow. At that point in time we managed a release about once every 3 weeks. Today we release 3-4 times a day. I'll describe the challenges we faced, the steps we took and the lessons learned.
