Time is priceless. Here is how to get the most of attending a workshop or seminar.
1) Understand what you want
Before the workshop, write down your learning goals, and what do you want to learn? How this training help you? Why would you feel that your time efficiently spent?
2) Request for what you want
As the program started, ask questions that guide the presentation toward the data that you want. Also, search for specific information that will assist you.
3) Look for your benefit
Rather than battle toward new ideas, welcome them as opportunities. If the ideas seem useless, search for ways to transform them so that you can use them. Alternatively, find pieces that work for you.
4) Inspire the speaker
Learning succeeds best when you become engaged. Therefore, ask questions, make comments, involve in the projects. Give attention. Let the speaker know that you are inspired. This engagement helps the speaker to do a better job.
5) Care for yourself
Keep your body comfortable so that your brain can understand more. Take a quick walk during breaks. This will boost your heart rate, which pumps fresh blood into your mind. Avoid eating a large or heavy meal. This transfers blood to your stomach and away from your brain.
6) Be appreciative
Appreciate the speaker after the event. Either write a letter or wait to show your appreciation. Also, thank the organization which arranged the training in your company. Seek them out to expose your thanks.
