Achieve at ARC with Dr. Aimee Boyle: Foundations Instructor Staff Spotlight

Dr. Aimee Boyle is one of CT ARC's dedicated Foundations Instructors! Dr. Boyle has done an excellent job supporting ARC's mission and goals of guiding our teacher candidates into their very own classrooms. In just her first year instructing at the ARC Program, Dr. Boyle has gone above and beyond to build relationships with fellow instructors and candidates alike.

Dr. Boyle is currently a Supervisor of Fine Arts, P.E. and Health at Stratford Public Schools.

About Dr. Boyle:

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and still visit frequently as I have most of my family (including my son) there. I also lived (for seven years each) in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, and Los Angeles, California. As a lifelong learner, I have worn many professional hats over the years. I started my career as a singer songwriter, and then became a music therapist, an incredible profession that I hadn't even known existed. During my work in music therapy, I expanded my awareness of children with disabilities, and decided to dive deeply into the world of special education, becoming a special education teacher. After many years of teaching, I became a special education administrator, and have now come full circle back to my original investment in the arts, as a fine arts, music, P.E. and Health supervisor in Stratford, CT. My husband and I are officially "empty nesters," and have two young adult children who no longer live with us, two beautiful dogs who do live with us, in the amazing town of Guilford, CT.

Favorite Part About the ARC Program:

My favorite part of the ARC program has been being given the opportunity to work with adult learners who are changing their lives and careers to become teachers. This is a journey close to my heart, as it is my journey as well. Their commitment to changing their own lives, taking the risk to begin a new adventure, and become a role model and mentor to young people, is inspirational to me.

Fun Fact:

My favorite form of exercise is dancing, and I dance every morning for at least 30 minutes. It starts me off in the right state of mind, gets my blood moving, and helps me stay open and creative to find solutions to the problems of the day!

Couldn't be where I am in my ARC journey without Aimee!
