Achieve 6-Figure Side Hustle Success: Your Guide to Finding the Perfect Mentor
It's hard to believe, but it's been six years since I started freelancing. Along the way, I've faced both successes and struggles, but I've gained some incredibly valuable insights.
So, what's the key to achieving success in a six-figure side hustle? Mentorship - and the best part? It doesn't have to cost you anything.
The Impact of Mentorship on My Side Hustle Success
In the early days, I was lucky enough to have my sister, a successful freelancer, as my first mentor. She helped guide me through the ins and outs of freelancing, secure my first job, and taught me how to grow quickly. But a mentor is much more than just a teacher of practical skills. They're a guide, helping you navigate the often-confusing world of side hustling.
Her mentorship was more than just teaching me the ropes; it shaped my journey. She taught me how to:
But mentorship isn't a one-person show.
The Power of Community and Multiple Mentors
Is my sister my only mentor? Not at all. The beauty of freelancing is found in its communities. Through active, dynamic communities like Fud, I've connected with various individuals who have become my mentors. Each has provided unique insights and advice, further shaping my journey toward success.
Selecting the Right Mentor
So, how do you choose the right mentor from within a community? Here are a few key factors to consider:

Remember, a great mentor doesn't just invest in your business; they invest in you.
Should You Pay for a Mentor?
Is it always necessary to pay for mentorship? Not at all. Let's debunk a common myth: valuable mentorship does not always require you to spend your hard-earned money. I can attest that some of life's best things are free.
At Fud, we believe in this philosophy. We offer a range of mini-courses taught by vetted and proven side hustle mentors - a wealth of knowledge that comes at absolutely no cost! We've already done the hard work for you by ensuring that these experts are the best of the best.
However, I understand that everyone's journey is unique. Even though I found immense value in free mentorship, you may prefer a different approach. Here's what's important: a good mentor won't break the bank. They're invested in your growth and success, not your wallet. If you choose to pay for a mentor, ensure that the price reflects the value you're receiving.

1 年All bias aside, I am a big fan of mentors! I started 4 of 6 biz without one. And then I got a bit wiser and realized that someone with the experience and insight in the segment I was entering would provide a lot of value. [value = benefits minus cost] Like, you can probably figure it out on your own, but it's going to take a lot more time, money and energy to do it this way. The right mentor guides you to your desired outcomes faster. All founders and side-hustlers need a bit of scar tissue built from failing and pivoting, but work smarter - not harder in these creator times. Great post Lala! ??
