Accredo Packaging Wins Two FTA Gold Awards and Declared Best in Show

Accredo Packaging, a supplier of sustainable packaging solutions in the food and consumer products markets, has been declared the winner of Two FTA Gold Awards as well as the prestigious Best in Show accolade. The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) bills these awards as “the longest running and most prestigious annual print competition, [whose] mission is to honor outstanding companies who have made exceptional quality and precise consistency their mission in the pursuit of printing excellence.” Each of the hundreds of entries received each year are analyzed by an esteemed panel of judges based on degree of difficulty and level of execution.

The Two packages that received FTA Gold awards were Tide in-wash Laundry Booster as well as Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt with Melatonin. The Dr. Teal’s package was also honored as the Best in Show. Said the judges, Accredo made “Really great use of expanded gamut inks in a non-traditional way. Very fine detail and great registration.” They also commented, “Overall, a very well-printed sample that stands out for holding a lot of small details.” When asked about the Best in Show honor, Accredo Packaging’s Director of Technology Johnny Dye commented, “This project kicked off with high expectations from our customer, as the product had been historically produced using gravure with spot inks for the brand colors.
