Accreditation helps ease facilities into COVID-19 recovery phase

It was a privilege to be invited by the ISSA and Facilities Matter journal to comment on why cleaning contractors need to be accredited when tackling the COVID-19 recovery plan for clients.
Capital has moved into the sanitation and decontamination cleaning sector in the last year and so needed to look at the following important aspects of the service:
· Compliance with Government requirements.
· Invest in the best equipment for the task.
· Invest in chemicals and materials that are approved, work and environmentally safe.
· Insurance cover for decontamination and sanitation services
· Accreditation and training by approved body to validate work
· Invest in ATP testing to verify results.
Our training needed to look at the protocols, procedures and systems associated with infections agents such as SARS-CoV-2, as well as prepare for future potential outbreaks.
Having the right organisation behind us and credentials is fundamental in Capital being able to provide a safe and clean working environment in our own premises as well as our clients facilities.
