Accountant

• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Location: Croydon
• Salary: ￡45,000 to ￡55,000
• Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out critical year-end duties and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time.
• Perform overviews of the financial operations of a business in order to help it run efficiently.
• Utilise accounting software to facilitate processes and maintain records.
• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis.
• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes.
• Follow accounting policies and procedures and align them with company’s targets.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in a timely fashion for external processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an accountant.
• Excellent organising abilities.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good with numbers and figures.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. Oracle).
• Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required.
