This week, we're exploring how accountability through atomic habits, behavioral activation, and embracing vulnerability can propel us toward living in our success and living a life aligned with our deepest values and beliefs. Accountability is the 3rd pillar to success. Learn how to build accountability in our success groups.  My Wellness Group Service is a 9 week program composed of 5-10 people who meet with me on a weekly basis via a virtual video platform to discuss wellness topics and receive coaching. 

Every week, the Wellness Group explores new educational material built around Dialectical Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic principles. This material helps us look at our health holistically. We go through every important aspect of well-living: Mental Health, Physical Health, Financial Health, Relationships, Work Life Balance, Negotiating Our Value, Finding and Keeping Friends, and Building and Obtaining Life Goals.

During the group discussions, participants are encouraged to share their own connections and stories with the material. 

Goals are: financial independence, retire early, find value, find friends, work/life balance

?? Insight of the Week: The 1% Rule

?

James Clear's "Atomic Habits" teaches us that tiny, consistent improvements compound over time. By improving just 1% each day, you'll end up 37 times better by the end of the year! Setting environmental cues can help us remind ourselves of atomic habits. If we want to take a lunch for healthier eating, put your lunch pail next to your keys to take it with you before leaving for work. Share your environmental cues for accountability in the comments!

Action Step: Identify one small habit that aligns with your core values. ?Commit to improving it by 1% daily.

Success coaching sessions depends on understanding your vision for your life. We will begin with an initial consultation to build a rapport and understand your individualized needs.  This consultation will focus on your goals, your ideas of success, and your current limitations. 

Together we will develop a session plan and determine how much support you need. Some clients enjoy building a foundation through weekly sessions, and then shift to weekly or monthly sessions as they implement their learned skills. Other’s wish to use success coaching as an augmentation to other supports in their life and choose to use it for added accountability.  This service is very flexible and is designed to meet your individualized needs.

Behavioral Activation shows us that action often precedes motivation. Instead of waiting to feel good to act, we act to feel good. You can hear more about it on our?YouTube channel .

?Behavioral Activation is about setting lists and connecting it to our feelings and thoughts. Make 3 lists: Mastery, Pleasure, and Needs. We want to do a cycle of mastery, need, and then pleasure. This will help us to stay on a flow of purpose-driven behaviors.


This Week's Challenge: Choose three value-aligned activities. Schedule them in your calendar and commit to doing them, regardless of your mood. Notice how your emotions shift after taking action.

??? Vulnerability Corner: Courageous Conversations

?

 One consistent thread I find is that:
Life is unpredictable. Stress is certain.
Stress creates a reactionary mind.
We must stay present to combat stress and stay well.

Brené Brown says, "Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change." This week, we're practicing strategic vulnerability to deepen our connections and drive personal growth.

?It is important to be available and vulnerable to succeed at your goals. Vulnerability is the courage to show up and be seen, even when there are no guarantees. It involves being open, honest, and authentic, which can be challenging but is essential for true accountability. Vulnerability is important for accountability because:

Openness: Being vulnerable allows you to be open about your limitations, fears, and mistakes. This openness is key to building trust and credibility.

Authenticity: When you allow yourself to be vulnerable, you present your true self, making your commitments and actions more genuine.

Growth: Vulnerability enables learning and growth. By acknowledging mistakes and asking for help, you can improve and develop resilience.

Connection: Vulnerability fosters deeper connections with others. It shows that you are human, which can inspire others to be accountable as well.

Vulnerability Exercise: Share one of your core values with someone you trust. Explain why it's important to you and how you're working to honor it in your daily life.
