Accountability and strategic planning are vital for our progress
The necessity for strategic thinking and teamwork hasn't gone away during the pandemic or since it ended. Indeed, it has grown much more complex and vital, highlighting the importance of effective leadership, communication, and alignment between board of directors and the C-suite.
That is why, at Reach a Hand, we continue to hold quarterly board meetings in which we account for our various leadership structures, keep them up to date on what has been going on, and strategically plan for our progress.
On the 4th of September, we had our end-of-quarter board meeting, and one of the important points we made was the need for policies that guide our actions and their implementation. We were able to codify our revised human resource and procedures handbook, risk management policy, RAHU progressive disciplinary policy, and sexual exploitation and abuse prevention policy, and we are pleased to have these policies in place.
We also welcomed?a new board member from Arua, who is a young man. It's critical to provide young people with a platform so that they may represent their communities and continue to make a difference.
