Accountability and Ongoing Course Correction
Will Daines III, CFP?
We relieve the mental overload caused by financial distractions so our clients take advantage of financial opportunities and don't get run over by financial surprises.
You can plan as much as you like, but in real life, you need more than that. Without constant course corrections and accountability, you will find it difficult to sustain the behavioral change and effort needed to achieve desired outcomes. The further into the future those goals are and/or the more challenges you will encounter along the way, the more important these key elements become.
Important Action Items: Build your plan from the start with the intent that it will be a projection that is updated regularly. Set a reasonable frequency (semi-annually or annually are good options) to update the plan projection. Also, find someone/something to keep you accountable. This could be a friend, family member, an app on your smartphone, or a professional like a financial planner or other advisor.
