Accomplishment Culture? Thought- Monday Motivation: The Four R’s

Today, through technology, we are continuously connected to work, our family, our responsibilities, and those who rely on us to lead. Over time, this continuous engagement can drain us of energy, patience, and creativity ultimately costing us and the people who are dependent on us the true value and purpose of our relationship.

To counter-balance such effects commit to being deliberate in scheduling time on a regular basis to temporarily disconnect and practice The Accomplishment Culture? Four R’s:

Reflection: Remember the many blessings that have been in your life and how your gifts, capabilities, and accomplishments have given you a foundation for future success.

Renewal: Reconnect oneself with what truly matters in life. Evaluate your goals, why each is important, and how pursuing each goal will make a positive impact on you and the people you serve. Eliminate the ones that cannot produce such a result.

Restoration: Forgive oneself for your failures and past mistakes. Learn from them but allow yourself grace so that you can focus on moving forward.

Rejuvenation: Engage oneself in those activities that provide healthy energy, focus, and a new longing for success.  Commit yourself to align your effort and time with people and projects that inspire you.

By incorporating the Four R's approach, it is my opinion, you will find greater satisfaction in your work, relationships, and accomplishments and the people who rely on you will gain as well. Reflect, Renew, Restore, and Rejuvenate. You will be glad you did.
