Accommodation for advancement

Ensuring safe and reliable operations while building better public transit takes balance and adjustment. As work advances on new and transformative transit projects, we’ve made some service and schedule changes for the month of December along the Lakeshore West and Stouffville GO Train lines.?

Why do we need to make those adjustments? It’s all part of work efforts on both the future Ontario Line and an expansion of the Stouffville line that will bring two-way all-day service. We’ve got commuters covered will a full breakdown of the schedule changes, but you can always get real time updates on GO Tracker or on the GO Transit website.??

Restorative relationship?

As we build and expand transit across the region, we’re committed to being a good neighbour. Not just to our fellow human, but also to mother nature. In partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) , we’ve helped plant thousands of trees and shrubs at Rouge National Urban Park.?

Our work with TRCA also includes helping Ontario’s endangered bat species with the construction of 150 temporary shelters known as bat boxes, as well as restoration efforts in Toronto’s east.?

Hey, Jude!?

Imagine getting the chance to positively impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of people every day. That’s the reality for Jude, a team leader at Metrolinx. Jude’s professional life has been built on a foundation of customer service, from helping open a restaurant in Papua New Guinea to a stint in the aviation industry, and he’s brought those values and more to his current role as a Customer Relations Senior Team leader. The most rewarding part for him? Turning an unpleasant, frustrating situation into a positive one. For Jude, that’s what customer service is all about.??

Safe and smooth?

Safety is number one at Metrolinx and we take every effort to make it a priority in all aspects of our operations. As the new year approaches and all manner of festive shindigs get underway, we’ll be there for you as you ring in the new year!?

A white and green GO train with the number 674 on it appears in a graphic promoting free rides on New Year's Eve, with service starting at 7 p.m. A logo for Forty Creek appears in the bottom left hand side of the graphic.
