Bargaining Rights Authorization Form
Laborers Local Union Nos. 172 & 472 and Asphalt Laborers Local No. 172
In Bulletin 68-2023, we informed Active Members the collective bargaining agreements between the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey and Laborers, Local Union Nos. 172 and 472, and Asphalt Laborers Local No. 172 expires on February 29, 2024. Government Affairs
Increase in New Jersey Construction Spending
In an ACCNJ Alert distributed on September 11, 2023, we informed members Governor Murphy announced an additional $875 million in spending for New Jersey construction projects.?The funds will be administered to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), NJ TRANSIT, and the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA). October Safety Council Meeting
As a reminder, in Bulletin 64-2023, we announced ACCNJ will host its next?Safety Council Meeting?on October 13, 2023, at the ACCNJ Offices, Edison, NJ at 11:30am. This is a great opportunity for our safety community to exchange ideas, meet up with old friends and connect with new industry safety professionals.

MarketCAST Q2 2023
As commissioned by ACCNJ, Jeff Otteau and the Otteau Valuation Group have issued the next quarterly report on New Jersey’s construction activity. Summer Internship Program - Online Application Now Open!
In Bulletin 67-2023, we reminded members ACCNJ works within the CIAP structure to offer a summer internship program to all eligible active members. Applications for CIAP are now open for students through an online process (www.ciapofnj.org) and close October 15, 2023. If you know of any student that would be interested in applying for an opportunity to participate, please feel free to share the program guidelines with them. Summer Internship Program - Contractor Registration / Career Fair
In Bulletin 69-2023, we invited Active Members to join us for the CIAP Career Fair, scheduled for January 10, 2024. It will be held in-person at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Twp., New Jersey. For more information, access the bulletin in the members-only section at accnj.org.
Tuition Reimbursement Program
In Bulletin 05-2023, we informed Active Members the ACCNJ Industry Advancement Trust (IAT) has approved the continuation of the Tuition Reimbursement Program for eligible, full-time employees of ACCNJ member firms that contribute to the IAT. The courses selected must be aimed at providing job-related knowledge and skills for construction personnel in either office or field operations. On October 19, 2023, ACCNJ will be hosting a Build America, Buy America webinar, which will take an in-depth look at the guidance issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to provide members with pertinent information prior to the October 23rd effective date. Microsoft Excel for Construction Scheduling & Estimating
As a reminder,?ACCNJ member?ZenTek Consultants is hosting another session of their Microsoft Excel course to show you the most effective ways of using Microsoft Excel in a construction environment. This eight-hour program is delivered in four, two-hour long sessions that students can attend online. Classes begin on October 4. Contact the Association for more information.
Blubeam Revu for Beginners
ACCNJ member ZenTek Consultants, a certified Bluebeam Partner, is offering an online course, "Bluebeam Revu for?Beginners" for ACCNJ Active Members.??This program is delivered in four, two-hour online sessions.??A live instructor will explain the detailed functions and address questions as the class progresses. All classes will be held from 8-10am throughout November. Contact the Association for more information.
