In Case You Missed It...
CIAP of NJ held its Annual Career Fair at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Twp., NJ on January 8, 2025.
Nearly 80 students eligible for employment met with 46 potential employers and we are thrilled to share that many students have already accepted offers. A huge thank you to everyone involved and for making this event a success!
On January 24, 2025, ACCNJ hosted the Change Navigation Skills Workshop led by Myla DeLoatch, CSP (she, her, hers) from Business Training Works, Inc.
Myla shared valuable insights into the change process and provided effective strategies for managing and overcoming change. Thank you to everyone who participated!

The golf outing benefits Marissa's Mission: No One Fights Alone. Marissa’s Mission Foundation was started in memory of Marissa, who lost her battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in June 2018.? Corporate Transparency Act Update
In an Email Alert issued January 7, 2025, we informed members about an update regarding the Corporate Transparency Act, enforcement of which has been temporarily halted nationwide.
Federal PLA Ruling
On January 22, 2025, ACCNJ issued an Email Alert, notifying members of the federal ruling on government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs).
Trump Administration Revokes Anti-Discrimination Hiring Rule
In an Email Alert issued January 28, 2025, we distributed information to members regarding an Executive Order signed by President Trump rescinding prior executive actions relating to equal employment opportunity and affirmative action in federal employment and government contracting activities.
Form I-9 Audits Best Practices Guide
ACCNJ has created a guide designed to provide contractors with best practices to proactively prepare for ICE audits, mitigate risks, and demonstrate a strong commitment to compliance. The guide can be accessed in your Info Hub at accnj.org.

Tuition Reimbursement Program
In Bulletin 04-2024, we informed Active Members the ACCNJ Industry Advancement Trust (IAT) has approved the continuation of the Tuition Reimbursement Program for eligible, full-time employees of ACCNJ member firms that contribute to the IAT. The courses selected must be aimed at providing job-related knowledge and skills for construction personnel in either office or field operations. ACCNJ Educational Workshop Series
As a reminder, In Bulletin 83-2024, ACCNJ distributed information about De-Escalation Training. This workshop will take place Friday, February 21, 2025, in two, half-day sessions targeted toward management and field personnel.
We invited members to register for our Plan Reading Course in Bulletin 05-2025. The introduction will take place Wednesday, February 19, 2025, after which participants can choose to continue with Civil Plan Reading, Building Plan Reading, or both.
In Bulletin 08-2025, ACCNJ provided more details about the upcoming MEPs Blueprint Reading Course taking place Wednesday, March 26, 8 AM, at the ACCNJ office in Edison.

Bluebeam for Takeoff and Estimating
ACCNJ member ZenTek Consultants LLC , a certified Bluebeam Partner, is offering an online course, "Bluebeam for Takeoff and Estimating," for ACCNJ Active Members. This program is delivered in four, two-hour online sessions every Tuesday from 8:30-10:30 AM beginning March 4, 2025. A live instructor will explain the detailed functions and address questions as the class progresses.
